Oops
Today in the middle of class I picked up my pen and realized there was a little yellow note on it. Any guesses what the note says?
"The Prophet Says Don't Steal Pens."
My Bad.

Can you feel the BYU love?

Class, occupational duties, everything was forgotten as a large crowd gathered at the tiny tiny broadcasting station TV at the front desk. It didn't matter that none of us had ever met prior to this day, The Game was on. Remember red-head guy? Blonde girl who got up from her carrel when she heard the commotion? None of us will forget when we all came together and witnessed the Cougs make their first NCAA basketball round one tournament win since 1993 in double overtime against the Florida Gators (I just used every word that I know about sports in that last sentence). Thank you. Thank you, Media Center, and thank you, BYU.
Thanks also to Robb for announcing the final score to the few Media Center Patrons who hadn't joined us at the front desk, and thanks to Random Old Guy for watching it in the conference room so we didn't have to deal with him.

Headphones
We all know people ask for crazy things when it comes to headphones. They call them Earphones and Earspeakers. They ask for Ear plugs and Ear Buds (both of which would be absolutely disgusting to check out to multiple people). Oh, and let's not forget the epic saga of the gray headphones verse the drop box monster. (Admit it, we all feel proud when a patron manages to wrestle them in to the box, or even when they reach through the slightly open door to turn them in).
Well I may have a new favorite. Tonight some bro came in and asked for "the cool headphones, not the gay ones."
Yea bro, it's definitely important for you to look cool while studying in the LRC. All the ladies go crazy for the black headphones.

What you didn't know about Kevin . . .
My first shift with Kevin. His phone goes off. His ring tone? Apple Bottom Jeans by T-Pain. Don't let those button-up shirts fool you. Best part of my shift? I think so.
Welcome to the fold, son.

Goodbye morning shift...
One thing I'm not going to miss is curly-haired computer lab assistance desk guy regaling his completely disinterested co-workers with his various exercise routines and eating practices. Seriously for like twenty minutes all I heard was,
"Yeah, I like eat so much over the weekend that I gain 5 pounds every weekend and then I lose it all over the next week. I don't even have to worry about like buying food during the week because my dad teaches on campus so I just stop by his office and my mom usually sends something for me with him..."
"Yeah so I don't know what I'm gonna do man it looks like my exercise bike is on the fritz so I'm gonna have to call the manufacturer or something."
I should feel sorry for whoever has to work for him, but since his not-so-delicate voice wafts its way over to me as well I, instead, choose to feel sorry for myself.
